Ensuring that people given community sentences are supervised and supported appropriately to protect the public, promote desistence from offending and enable rehabilitation by delivering high quality, consistently available, trauma-informed services and programmes is a Priority Action for local Community Justice Partnerships set out by the Scottish Government (national-strategy-community-justice.pdf).
There are three themed delivery groups which are responsible for progressing the work of the partnership. Our Community First Delivery Group is responsible for progressing work under this priority. Justice Social Work and other relevant colleagues from across Ayrshire sit on this group and work together on the deliverables laid out in the Ayrshire improvement plan to do this (CJOIP).

His role involves supporting those on statutory orders in the community and also people coming out of prison.
