The ‘Wallacetown Update’ has been coordinated by the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit – working locally to create a healthier and safer community.
Since starting work in Wallacetown, Inspector Jason Peter has spoken with a wide range of partners and local residents, listened to their hopes for the future and heard what matters most to them. As part of this conversation several ‘Street Weeks’ sessions were hosted where a number of partners took to the streets to listen to local residents and capture their views in our community survey.
The completed survey forms have now been analysed and the ‘Wallacetown Update’ is now available online (Scottish Violence Reduction Unit) and is being delivered to every household in the area. This document gives an overview of the survey findings, a brief outline on some of the work that has been undertaken so far and also touches on the next steps for our work. A more detailed ‘key findings’ document is also available – this includes information on the methodology, key themes etc.
No matter your role or the part you play in Wallacetown the Scottish Violence Reduction Unit and local partners hope to work together and make Wallacetown a better place to live, work and visit.
