Undertaken in partnership with colleagues from HMIPS, the review focuses on the use of the LS/CMI assessment and planning method within key SPS decision-making forums. They also consider how people in custody were involved in the key processes which affect their journey through custody to community. The report sought to highlight what is working well, and identify any barriers to efficient and effective practice.
In the report, they note improvement actions to be taken forward by the Scottish Government, the Scottish Prison Service, justice social work services, and other key partners.
