Police Scotland was established on 1 April 2013 and is responsible for policing across the whole of Scotland. Ayrshire Police Division is made up of three command areas – North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire.

The Desistance Officer is a new role established in September 2021 and is based within the Partnership Delivery Team.
The Shine Women’s Mentoring Service has been established for nine years in Ayrshire and operates on a pan-Ayrshire basis.
South Ayrshire Women’s Aid provide a confidential service that gives information, support and temporary accommodation to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse.
Sacro provides a wide range of Justice Services, all of which are aimed at safeguarding communities and reducing offending within the community. These services work mainly with people charged with offences and their families to support and assist them in addressing the issues which cause, or may cause them to offend.
Venture Trust work with people experiencing difficult life circumstances including involvement in the justice system, substance misuse, homelessness, unemployment or many other challenges.
East Ayrshire Advocacy Service supports people in the community who have drug or alcohol issues as well as supporting men in prison within HMP Kilmarnock.
The Psychology and Interventions Team within HMP Kilmarnock support the roles of Offending Behaviour Group work Facilitators.
The aim of the Employability Mentor Programme is to improve people’s lives, step by step, to gain skills that will enable them to have a chance of reintegration into the community and break down barriers to reduce reoffending.
Justice Social Work staff provide a critical social work function within the Court setting and are often the first point of contact within Justice Services for many people and their families.
