SRC is supporting as much research as possible on Women in Recovery. We have an opportunity to contribute to research being carried out by Shelley Duffy who is currently pursuing a PhD and is seeking participants to take part in the research (information attached).
The research focuses on recovery trajectories and pathways, peer support, barriers, and the strengths that help women sustain long-term recovery, with the aim of developing a Women’s Recovery Capital Model that truly reflects women’s and mothers’ lived and living experiences.
What makes this research special is that it has been fully co-produced with an incredible lived experience advisory group – whose insight, wisdom, and generosity have shaped every aspect of this study.
This is research built by women in recovery for women in recovery.
We are now looking for Scottish women in recovery to complete an online survey – and we would love your support in reaching them.
Who can take part?
• Women aged 18 or over, living in Scotland
• Who identify as a woman
• Who are in recovery from drug and/or alcohol use (including early recovery)
The survey takes approximately 30–50 minutes to complete, is fully anonymous, and entirely voluntary – participants can skip any question or stop at any time.

I have attached a poster to this email – please do share it widely with any networks, services, or communities across Scotland where it might reach women who could take part. Every response makes a real difference and we are keen to get representation from all cities in Scotland.
