Scotland Can’t Wait: World Hepatitis Day 2022
Event Details
To mark World Hepatitis Day on 28th July, Hepatitis Scotland will be hosting an online event that will focus on providing an overview of hepatitis C in Scotland.
This event will explore the current landscape of hepatitis C infection, examples of assertive outreach models in local areas and voices of people with lived experience.
Programme:
- Professor Sharon Hutchinson – Epidemiology and Population Health at Glasgow Caledonian University and Public Health Scotland
- Professor John Dillon – Consultant Hepatologist and Gastroenterologist, NHS Tayside
- Pauline Dundas – Lead Hepatology Nurse Specialist, NHS Grampian
- Hepatitis Scotland Volunteer Scott will discuss his personal experience of old and new hep C treatments.
- Q&A with Sharon Hutchinson, Pauline Dundas, Alastair Hudson (CEO – HIV Scotland), and Billy Hamilton (Hepatitis Scotland)
This event will be chaired by Norma Westland, Programme Manager, Hepatitis Scotland.
