Event Details

The issues of risk, harm and safety are integral to the lives of women selling and exchanging sex. Many experienced physical and sexual violence from clients, partners, pimps and managers. Issues concerning women’s sexual health, such as sexually transmitted infections and unwanted pregnancies, are also critical. The rise of the online ‘sex industry’ presents additional risks such as blackmail, outing, and sharing photos and or videos without consent.

To explore these risks in more depth and consider safety strategies that women might use in relation to their involvement in different aspects of the ‘sex industry’ – on-street, indoors and online – CSE Aware is offering an online training session for frontline practitioners.
