Healthcare Professionals in Secure Environments - Their Key Role in Preventing Ill-Treatment

The National Prison and Police Care Networks are delighted to host a webinar on Healthcare Professionals in Secure Environments – Their Key Role in Preventing Ill-Treatment on Wednesday 7 October, 14:00 – 15:00.

We will hear from Alan Mitchell – former Head of Healthcare at the Scottish Prison Service and the current President at European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman and Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CPT).

In 2025 the CPT published its updated standards on healthcare in prisons. These standards include the recording and reporting of injuries. Alan Mitchell will present the Committee’s standards and participate in a discussion on the same.
