Facilitating disclosures of selling or exchanging sex

The recent CSE Aware report ‟Barriers to Disclosures of Selling or Exchanging Sex″ revealed a number challenges that practitioners face in relation to disclosures of selling or exchanging sex. The most common barriers included not knowing how to ask the question, the fear to offend women, and the lack of awareness around commercial sexual exploitation (CSE). There were support-related barriers, too, such as being unsure of the next steps after a disclosure or understanding women’s key support needs.

To increase workers’ skills and confidence to manage disclosures of selling or exchanging sex, CSE Aware is offering an online training session for frontline practitioners. 

The session is free but subject to the terms and conditions.
