CSE Aware - Help us shape the new safety risk questionnaire

Many practitioners tell us that conversations about women’s safety in the context of selling or exchanging sex can be challenging. While they know that many women experience harm, it can be difficult to know how to start these conversations, assess risk, and respond to women’s needs.

To support frontline practitioners, the Women’s Support Project and the Encompass Network are developing a safety toolkit for women who sell or exchange sex. The first stage is a safety risk questionnaire, designed to help:

• improve awareness of the risks experienced by women who sell or exchange sex
• create more opportunities for conversations about safety
• support a more consistent approach to assessing risk.

We’re inviting a small group of practitioners to take part in a feedback workshop. Your views will help ensure the questionnaire is useful in day-to-day practice. 

What will you gain from taking part?
By attending, you’ll have the opportunity to:

• reflect on how your service currently responds to women’s safety needs;
• learn about relevant resources and training opportunities; and
• influence a resource that will be used by practitioners across the sector.

When and where
The workshop will take place on Thursday, 10 September, 10 AM-1PM. The venue is the central location in Glasgow and will be shared with the confirmed participants.
