Our ’10 Questions With’ series will focus on the Community Justice Ayrshire Partnership Board (CJAP), who oversee the planning and delivery of community justice in Ayrshire and ensure accountability for the work of the partnership.
The Board is currently Chaired by an Elected Member, and the Vice Chair is the Area Commander / Local Senior Officer for Ayrshire, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service. The CJAP Board meet on a quarterly basis, both in person and online and meetings are set in advance for the year.
Each Board member represents the interest of their own organisation and what they can contribute to the partnership. Board members are kept abreast of local and national community justice initiatives, often receiving presentations and input from other organisations / services on specific areas of work. All strategic documents are channelled through the Board for agreement prior to publication.
In this series we learn about the benefits to the pan-Ayrshire approach and what Board members think are some of the challenges around promoting understanding and awareness of community justice to our communities, as well as what more they can do to raise the profile of community justice in their own organisation.
We hope this bite-sized series will give you a better understanding of the Community Justice Ayrshire Partnership Board and who is representing the statutory partners across Ayrshire.
